TPO ink

TPO ink refers to a specialized ink formulation designed to adhere to thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) materials—flexible, durable polymers commonly used in outdoor signage, vehicle interiors, and industrial surfaces. In digital printing, TPO ink ensures strong adhesion and color performance on challenging non-porous, low-surface-energy substrates like polyolefins.

Why It Matters in Digital Print:
TPO and other polyolefin-based materials are lightweight, durable, and often recyclable, making them increasingly popular in sustainable print applications. However, standard inks—especially water-based or UV inks—tend to struggle with adhesion on these surfaces. TPO inks solve this by incorporating specialized adhesion promoters and resins.

Applications:

  • Outdoor signage on polyolefin panels

  • Automotive and marine interior labeling

  • Safety and industrial graphics

  • Packaging with TPO liners or films

  • Certain PVC-free substrates and eco materials
